4 Denim Trends For Fall
What can I even say about denim? We all love it and we all need it in our wardrobe regardless of the season, however when Fall rolls around, it becomes a little more comfortable to enjoy without the insane summer heat. And as if we don’t probably own enough denim in our closets, I’m a firm believer that you can never have too much of it!
Whether it be a skirt, jacket or pants and in a skinny, boyfriend or embroidered style, there is always room in your wardrobe for a little denim love, but these 4 trends are huge for Fall this year!
Embroidery
You may have seen embroidered denim over the last few months, but it is everywhere now. I indulged in the trend just last month with a trip to GAP to attend their event with Lot Stock and Barrel where I picked up this new denim jacket and had it custom embroidered along with their new 360 stretch denim.
When it comes to embroidery, the options are endless, so even if you don’t love script, opt for floral or beaded embroidery!
Denim Jacket
I remember being young and hating my denim jacket that my Mother made me wear in the fall, but now that I’m an adult, I can’t get enough. I pair my GAP denim jacket with just about anything and everything and even love a good ‘Canadian Tuxedo’ look. There are also so many fits available so you can enjoy a structured denim or go oversized and slouchy which also works well this season with a layered chunky knit!
Boyfriend Denim
Speaking of oversized, boyfriend denim has been huge this year and for Fall, things aren’t slowing down. While I love a good skinny denim, a boyfriend style denim looks chic and can be paired with a sleek turtleneck and ankle boots for fall. To achieve the right boyfriend look, it takes a great fitting pair of denim, so be sure to shop around so you can achieve the oversized look without looking like you are wearing pants that just don’t fit!
Cropped Bottoms
I find that some people only gravitate towards cropped pants in the spring and summer, but it totally worked for Fall as well. A straight, skinny and flare style cropped pants works so well even in the Fall with a switch of footwear and can really amp up any look.
Don’t have a pair of cropped pants and don’t have the funds? Take a pair of your old denim and just give it a snip after measuring and marking it once you have the desired length. You can also add a trim if you are a DIY genius!
