See the four celebs ranging from their 20’s to 50+ who are sharing what they use and do to keep themselves looking so fab!
Leighton Meester (20s)
On giving your skin a break:
“Staying hydrated is the number one thing, [especially] if you’re having a bad day or you break out. The [impulse] is to use harsher things or scrub your skin, but really, you should just soothe it, chill out, hydrate and relax. Try to rest and let it be.”
On some of her favourite makeup products:
“[I like BB cream] because it’s easy. Also, cream blush is great when you don’t want to be too exact. It lasts for a long time and looks really natural.”
Leighton’s Must-Haves: Biotherm Aquasource Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel, $49; Lait Corporel Anti-Drying Body Milk, $29.
Karine Vanasse (30s)
On looking natural:
“[On the show Revenge], they didn’t try to shape my face differently or make me look like a certain type of woman. They even left my freckles. Sometimes you think people won’t embrace the kind of beauty that you have, but they do.”
On short hair:
“I love it when men like women with short hair. Some of them really embrace the power that it gives [women]. [When I have short hair] I feel like you really see me. There’s nothing that’s hiding anything – it’s just me.”
Karine’s Must-Haves: Marcelle Double Precision Liquid Eyeliner Pen, $15; CC Cream SPF 35 in Light to Medium, $30; Cleansing Cloths (pack of 25), $13; Xtension Plus Mascara, $13.
Halle Berry (40s)
On facials:
“Facials are beneficial because you have a professional analyzing your skin and telling you exactly what you need. I don’t always know what I need, but I know what I want my skin to look like. When you go to a professional, they guide you in the right direction.”
On being devoted to her skincare routine:
“Start early, have a regimen and stick to it. Taking care of your skin has to be really important. I never miss a night or morning. It’s part of my life; the routine is second nature.”
Halle’s Must-Haves: Revlon UltraHD Lipstick in HD Camilia, $13; PhotoReady Prime + Anti Shine Balm, $20; PhotoReady Airbrush Effect Makeup in Caramel, $22.
Andie MacDowell (50s+)
On laughter:
“Laugh – a lot. It was so much fun [on the Magic Mike XXL set.] [The guys] are very young and energetic. I was just a fly on the wall. A lot of the time when we weren’t working, I would just sit and watch what they were doing and laugh. We worked all night long and I didn’t even notice. It was a blast.”
On taking “Ma’am” as a compliment:
“A lot of people don’t like the word ‘ma’am,’ but it doesn’t bother me at all – unless I’m on a date. I like being mature. There’s something empowering about being mature and respected. You have knowledge and wisdom.”
Andie’s Must-Haves: L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Blush in Soft Pink, $20; Color Riche Le Sourcil Eyebrow Pencil in Deep Brown, $10; Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Night Cream, $30; EverCurl Hydracharge Leave-In Cream, $14.
