The recipe to finding love is simple – you need one eligible bachelor/bachelorette, 25 hopeful potential mates, a sexy backdrop and a hit romantic reality TV series. Simple, right?!
Well, that’s the general idea behind The Bachelor and The Bachelorette series – now going on 13 years.
Side note: The newest season of The Bachelorette premiers Monday, May 18 and for the first time in the history of the show, there will be two bachelorettes. But, that’s not all! It will be up to the 25 contestants to choose if Britt Nilsson or Canadian beauty, Kaitlyn Bristowe will continue on the season.
Any fan of the show will tell you, it’s the final rose and that one last “magical date” in the fantasy suite that holds all the marbles.
Thanks to Booking.com, here’s a look back at some of the previous most romantic fantasy suites and destinations that sparked love. Maybe a perfect place to say your “I dos” or to give you a bit of inspiration for creating the ultimate “fantasy bedroom” in your home:
In season 10 of the bachelorette Andi Dorfman found love at the luxury all-inclusive Paradisus Punta Cana Resort, Dominican Republic. In my opinion, nothing says honeymoon-bliss like a clean, white on white palette. I love this boutique hotel-inspired space, and it is easy to re-create at home. With that said, I’m also loving the retro, mid-century modern inspiration of some of their suites as an alternative option for lighthearted lovers.
Boucan by Hotel Chocolat located in St. Lucia’s rainforest (1,000 feet above sea level) was the romantic backdrop for bachelor Juan Pablo. Just as important as the bedroom plays in a great escape, creating the perfect bathroom/spa oasis is also a must for igniting passion. Picture it as the ultimate private retreat for two. Also, with chocolate in the name, it’s got to be lavish – right?!
And last, but not least season nine bachelorette Desiree Hartsock finds her perfect someone at Galley Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua – some say the romance capital of the Caribbean. When considering a romantic space, it’s also a great idea to make your lover’s paradise a space that reflects your personalities. Here, the bright and airy colour palette and touches of fire orange and sunshine yellow scream “flirty and fun in the Caribbean.”
