March Beauty Favourites
If you’ve been following the blog for some time, then you can remember when I used to do my monthly beauty favourites, but rather than putting together my own images, I would do this and I always got “do you actually use these products you promote?”
Yes, I did and I still continue to be honest here on the blog with what I use and what I think of products. If I don’t like them, I don’t discuss them because I’m just not about negativity here on Girls of T.O. Though I took a hiatus from posting my monthly beauty favourites, I’m back and it’s better than ever. From now on, each month I’ll be sharing the products that really stood out to me that month and that could be 1 product or 10!
Follow along and check out these 4 products that I’ve been using and loved for March!
- Benefit Cosmetics Dew the Hoola, $36
If you love Benefit Cosmetics, then you are already familiar with their popular Hoola matte- bronzing powder. Not only is Benefits packaging absolutely adorable, but their products (like this one) is one I keep going back to. Now, with their newly released Dew the Hoola, you get that natural bronzed look in the form of a liquid! The lightweight texture is perfect with your everyday makeup or on its own – I can’t wait to wear it with my summer tan! I personally mix Dew the Hoola with my foundation for an all over seamless shine and lightly dust loose powder and finish off with a touch of blush to my cheeks to make myself feel like I just left the beach!
2. Dermalogica Charcoal Resque Masque, $60
I have been on the prowl for a masque that really rejuvenates my skin and gets it back to a fresh and vibrant state. I was introduced to Dermalogica a while back and I just had a feeling that their masque would do me right.
I was so happy to find out I was right! Having just launched in February, the masque detoxifies, brightens, and invigorates all skin conditions, with ingredients that draw out excess oil and impurities, refine pores, calm redness, and improve skin texture and smoothness. As much as I like to complain about my skin, it’s not absolutely dreadful by any means but I just felt that it looked dull and bumpy and applying makeup just became harder and harder and I felt like all I wanted to do was cover it up.
Since using the masque, I can see that my skin has brightened and smoothed out. I’m really doing my best to care for my skin these days and I’m happy to say that I’m feeling like this product is putting me in the right direction!
3. Crest 3D Whitestrips Supreme Flexfit, $ 59.96
I used to think that getting compliments on my smile were due to a lot of vibrant lipstick and my contrasting tanned skin, but really, it’s got to be these whitestrips. I remember first using Crest whitestrips for my prom, and the quick results had me hooked!
I don’t use them often, but every now an then when I have something special, I’ll pop them on and it seems to always do the trick. Even though I drink coffee, it’s nice to know that I don’t have to feel the guilt every time I smile in the mirror! Some may find that the strips are annoying but I typically brush my teeth and then apply the strips and leave them on while I do my makeup and hair! It’s really the easiest product to use that will completely brighten up any look you leave the house in!
4. Tweezerman Procurl Lash Curler, $28
There are those things one takes very seriously when it comes to beauty and for me, that is my lashes and brows. Recently introduced to the Tweezerman brand, I was absolutely smitten with their lash curlers, brushes and tweezers. Their lash curler is not only cute (you know you’re drawn to rose gold too) but work effortlessly. I’m convinced I was using really terrible lash curlers before because now you can really feel the good quality of this curler and it feels so much more comfortable to curl!
I’m not a heavy eye makeup kinda gal, but I always look to my lashes to open and brighten up my eyes and these curlers are just another essential to give me that everyday beauty!
