While I love creating makeup looks for any and every occasion, sometimes it’s just convenient and hassle free to simply sit back and let the experts do their magic.

I recently had the chance to experience the Shoppers Drug Mart makeup services at the PATH in Toronto located in the Royal Bank Plaza, to sit back, relax and have some fun with makeup looks. 

The instant I walked into the Shoppers Drug Mart, the ladies at the makeup counter cheerfully welcomed me into the store as I began carefully looking through the countless displays of beauty products. The great thing about Shoppers Drug Mart is their selection of brands from Essence to Christian Dior and everything in between. I wasn’t sure as yet what look I wanted the beauty expert to create, but I wanted something different!

Beauty Boutique Expert, Ivana would be doing my makeup application and I knew I liked her just by the look of her clean, vibrant and perfectly polished makeup. She asked me several questions to better help create the look I wanted such as, what products I prefer, what occasion it was for, and my general style.

Ivana began with some great products to prep my skin for the makeup, using Nuxe Hydra Mask, Avene Serum as well as Dior Hydra Lotion and Glow Maximizer. Ivana thought that if I hadn’t tried enough Dior products, that now was the time, and I couldn’t have agreed more.

We moved onto the makeup and I fell in love with Dior’s Nude Foundation. It gave moderate coverage but felt soft as if I had no makeup on at all. Ivana continued on my eyes with Clinique’s Lid Smoothies in Sassy Fras and Seventh and then added Dior eyeshadow on the creases for a daytime smokey look. I was given a daytime cat eye with Benefit’s Push Up Liner, which perfectly complimented the Dior Iconic Serum & Mascara.

She finished off the look with a vibrant lip using Lise Watier lip liner in fuchsia and paired it with Schseido Lipstick in RS 320. My final result was a soft but dramatic look that could have easily been taken from work to play, which was where I was headed.
