October Beauty Favourites
It’s official, after much anticipation procrastination, my monthly beauty favourites are back! I’m lucky enough to have the opportunity to try some great beauty products and with so many brands available, it can sometimes be overwhelming when shopping for something right for you which is why I’m hoping that these monthly reviews will help!
With fall quickly passing by (we’ve had some really chilly days), I have been paying close attention to the changes happening with my skin and hair lately. My skin is getting a tad drier and even though I’m loving my newly chopped do, I’m noticing some challenges with my hair and also feeling like my makeup bag needed some refreshing.
These 4 products are not only my favourite from this past month, but these 4 products have literally been my saviours lately!
I was first introduced to Toppik at my bf’s wedding this summer. The hairstylist used this product on the bride and honestly, watching her use it, I had my jaw on the floor. I couldn’t believe that this product even existed.
I have noticed that as I am getting older, my hair on the top of my head seems to be a bit thin in some areas, and while my boyfriend says he can’t notice it, it really infuriates me. After discovering Toppik, I feel so relieved and at ease with the fact that I don’t have to worry about whether I have a “bald spot” or not. The fibres are rather amazing. Toppik spray offers unique pigments that match your hair color so it can be used for in-between salon appointments and really does the trick in hiding exposed scalp.
*You can see the picture on the left how soft the fibres look, so when it is used, it really looks natural!
NARS Audacious Lipstick in ‘Kate’
Yup, I’m a lipstick lover and when it comes to makeup, it is literally my favourite!
I’ve mentioned NARS many many times on the blog here, but this beautiful shade from the Audacious Collection just had to make my monthly favourites. Perfect for this season, this plum-like shade can really work with any skin tone. Not to mention that the Audacious lipsticks are perfectly pigmented but still weightless and soft on the lips.

belif The True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb
Moisturizers can seem like a dime a dozen, so I can only hope that you are all like me and feel a tad overwhelmed with the assortment of products out there to combat dry skin!
belief was a brand that showed up on my doorstep but I am so glad that it did. I started using it just thinking I would try it out and think “meh okay, cool” but since using it, I haven’t stopped. Typically when I apply moisturizer in the morning before makeup, I feel like my skin is flaky by the end of the day but while using belif, I’m noticing all that change

Jason Wu for Caudalie Beauty Elixir
As much as I want to say that the reason for me purchasing this product was because I love Jason Wu and the packaging was awesome, but there is something so calming about spraying this beauty elixir on my face after makeup.
This limited edition spray acts as a toning mist that sets makeup and tightens the appearance of pores while giving that fresh feeling! The scent is also addictive (notice how little is left in the bottle). With essential oils of rosemary to energize, lemon balm and peppermint to stimulate, along with orange blossom to soften and rose for radiance this mist really does it all.
Okay, and the packaging is just stunning too…
