2016 H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection
One of my favourite go-to retailers, H&M has unveiled its latest Conscious Exclusive collection. The eco-friendly version of its main line, the Conscious Exclusive Collection’s launch is set coincide with the April 7th opening of the museum’s Fashion Forward – 300 Years of Fashion exhibit, which H&M is also sponsoring.
“Working with innovative sustainable materials and ornate embellishment, the collection is a layering of references, shapes and textures topped off by intensely decorative accessories and deco-inspired bijoux,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.
Modelled by Julia Restoin Roitfeld, daughter of Carine Roitfeld, the collection features stunning frocks including a long ball gown, a liquid dress with a print of Botticelli’s Three Graces, short dresses and painter blouses as well as arty kaftans and sculpted skirts. Materials include organic silk, hemp, recycled linen and Tencel® blends as well as new innovative materials such as beads and rhinestones made from recycled glass and Denimite − a material made out of recycled worn-out denim, which H&M is the first fashion company to use.
Also new for this season’s launch of Conscious Exclusive are three wedding dresses − for those soon to be brides who want to be as beautifully dressed as she is conscious!
See the looks below and make sure you snag yourself a piece from this stunning eco-friendly collection.
