Tech Trends for 2016
With the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas over for yet another year, Toronto – along with other destinations around the world – will be eager to learn more about the tech trends that are going to emerge over the course of this year. Although this year’s CES didn’t come with any major announcements or huge surprises, it was packed with high tech, innovative devices and gadgets that could soon be winging their way into homes all across Toronto.
From the increasingly popular wearable technology that can be used to do everything from monitoring fitness to playing games via sites such as Royal Vegas Casino through to drones, robotic cleaners and solar devices for the financially savvy and eco-friendly consumer, there was plenty to get excited about at this year’s show. The tech that was on display at this hugely popular event provides a taste of what Toronto consumers can expect this coming year. Here are some of the emerging tech trends we could see in 2016:
3 of the top gadgets for 2016
EHang 184: Over the past year, drones have become hugely popular, so it was only a matter of time before one of the world’s tech giants took things a step further. This is exactly what the Chinese UAV company Ehang has done with its human sized drone which is able to carry one passenger for just over twenty minutes at speeds of sixty miles per hour. This futuristic vehicle is a real gadget of the future, but could be with us sooner than expected with the company hoping to announce a release later this year.
HUAWEI Watch: Until now, smart watches that have come into the market have been pretty bulky and manly in terms of style and design. However, this is something that tech giant HUAWEI hopes to change with the release of its stylish, classically designed smart watch. With an elegant circular face and a choice of designs, this is a smart watch with both elegance and intelligence, and it is able to operate with both Android and iOS. You can use the smart watch to enjoy entertainment such as playing tables games and slots like Dragon’s Myth at Royal Vegas Casino or reading up on the casino blog. You may want to use the watch to monitor fitness levels, enjoy some music or use your other favourite apps. Whatever you use it for, you will benefit from both innovation and sleek design.
GoSun: For those who enjoy cooking outdoors in the warmer weather, but who also want to save money and do their bit for the planet, the GoSun Stove is ideal. With some models heating up to 550 degrees in just ten minutes via solar power, you can enjoy cooking outdoors the environmentally friendly way. This is a cylindrical stove that absorbs more than three quarters of the sunlight that reflects onto it, making al fresco cooking easier and more convenient.
These are just some of the great, innovative high-tech products that we could see leaping off the shelves in Toronto over the course of 2016.
