7 Ways to Wear Your Favourite Scarf

When we are buying fashion on a budget it can get pricey to purchase everything we need for the season. The shoes, the top, the dress and the skirt are getting to be too expensive, however, there are ways to bring last season’s wardrobe bang up to date with a little accessorizing.

A scarf will bring a new colour to your ensemble and can be tied in dozens of different ways to make the outfit look different every time. Cashmere scarf tying needn’t be tricky and you will probably find five or six knots that you like best. For a different one every day here are the top 7 scarf knots for you to try:

The Loose Wrap Around: This is the simplest one in the list. Hang the scarf around your neck with the two ends of even length over your back. Swap the ends around and bring them round to the front. Nice and easy.

The Rose: Hang the scarf around your neck with the ends over your front. Start twisting the two ends together until they become taut, then keep twisting them into a bun. When it has reached your neck, position it to the side and flare out the ends to look like petals.

With A Belt: Use a cinch belt around your waist or any belt you prefer. Hang the scarf around your neck with the ends in front. Now use the belt to secure the scarf, keeping as much width open across your body as you like.

Women’s Windsor: Put the scarf around the neck with the ends in front. Put a loose knot in one side and a tighter knot in the other, about 6 inches up. Now slip the tight knot through the loose knot.

Rose Belt: This is very similar to The Rose. Wrap your scarf around your waist but spread the width out to taste. Now follow the instructions for The Rose.

Shoulder Comforter: This one needs a square scarf. Drape it fully open over your shoulders with a point down your back. Tie a loose knot in one side and push the other side through it..

Infinity Body: Using a infinity or snood scarf, place the scarf around your waist. Make a twist in front of you and place it over your neck.

Adding a belt or some coloured chunky jewellery can also breathe new life into older clothes. Try some colored panty hose or knee high socks to bring a fresh, contemporary feel to that old skirt. The traditional hats, toques and beanies that are used in the cooler seasons offer an added touch to your look along with a plaid scarf which is just festive! Big brimmed hats are on trend now and can keep your look toasty warm for the season, but also look ultra stylish!

If you are looking for some inspiration, have a look through magazines for ideas on how to accessorize the current wardrobe you have. Sometimes something simple like changing or even adding buttons can help an outfit feel brand new! Both Pinterest and a little DIY love always does the trick!
