One of our readers recently picked up a gorgeous bra from AdditionElle and here is what she had to say:
Describe your experience at AdditionElle
I had such a great experience in the AdditionElle store. I had never been fitted for a bra before so I figured I’d ask and see if someone would be able to help me. Before this experience I wore a 38C when in fact a flawless fit for me is a 42C. Everyone there was beyond helpful and I actually really enjoyed picking out a bra, which in the past was a dreaded task for me.
You mention not liking the bra shopping experience, can you fill us in on why that was?
Trying on bras is a pain in the butt. It’s not like I could just pick a pretty one off the wall and check-out. Once I found one I liked, I needed a size so I went based on what I already owned (which was clearly a mistake). I’d get home, put it on, and it probably fit okay but it’d always be the same story: it didn’t fit like a glove.
What are some issues you had with bras in the past?
I never could manage to adjust the straps right. They either slid off my shoulders or dug in so much that it hurt. I’d also struggle with the wretched “back boob” problem. I’d do the “tug-and-drop” (we had a good laugh here – we relate!!) but somehow after a little while I’d see a bulge in the back. This also created a lot more cleavage and the cup wouldn’t hold me in as it should.
We’ve covered the bad so now let’s talk about the good (hopefully) – what are your thoughts on the bra you got at AdditionElle?
I am in love. First of all, thanks to the wonderful people in the store, the bra actually fits me perfectly. The straps are snug but don’t dig in at all and they stay in place all day. My back boob is no more! The support is phenomenal – I don’t have to continuously adjust because the bra stays in its place. On top of all of that it is so pretty! I feel gorgeous in it which I can’t say is something a bra has done for me in the past.
