I always say, there are two things you just don’t mess with. Hair and eyebrows. While your eyebrows aren’t really affected in the winter months, your hair definitely is. With the cold Toronto weather comes dry skin and hair, so when I noticed my hair was seriously lacking nourishment, I was in search for a great shampoo and conditioner to combat the problem.
I was quickly referred to try Aveeno‘s Positively Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner duo. I am very familiar with the Aveeno brand as I swear by the lotions and creams, so when I heard that the collection was specially formulated to help nourish damaged hair back to life in just three washes, I just had to give it a try.
Developed with a team of experts including a leading dermatologist and hair stylist, AVEENO Positively Nourishing products are aimed help to make hair healthy looking and beautiful, naturally. While we may not all know how to master the perfect pin curl, fishtail braid or beach waves, it’s important to keep hair healthy and nourished. It’s all about what you’re working with, right? Containing a nourishing wheat complex with an effective blend of Wheat Germ Oil plus Wheat Protein, the formula targets the weakest parts of the hair to give it a strong, beautiful and healthy looking texture. It is also gentle enough for colour-treated hair as well, so I was in luck!
This week was a very cold one in Toronto, so I took the opportunity to try the Moisturize Shampoo and Conditioner after a long bath. First things first. The smell is amazing with an intoxicating scent which gets better as your hair dries. After blow drying my hair and lightly ran through it with my straightener, I was really happy with the outcome. After washing my hair with it a few times, I noticed that my hair was actually starting to look moisturized and soft, without my roots looking too oily, which sometimes can be the case with my hair texture.
If your hair is really feeling the effects of the winter and you are looking for the right shampoo and conditioner to bring life back into your hair, then I definitely recommend the AVEENO Positively Nourishing collection.
