Classic Red – Givenchy Rouge Interdit

Though this post would have been perfect for yesterday with it being Valentine’s Day, today’s post is all about that classic makeup look. After all, there is a reason why the classics never go out of style, which is why I consider a traditional red lip makeup look to be a go-to of mine.

Givenchy has relaunched the iconic ROUGE INTERDIT Lipstick, and this time with a new formula and an amazing packaging linked to Givenchy Couture. The 19- shade collection features a wide range of nudes, pinks and reds, and also includes an additional limited edition Marbled Star shade. The gorgeous ribbon detail with a modern, Couture-like packaging is matched with the new formula that creates a comfortably light and soft texture with Black Rose Oil to help moisturize the lips while still offering a long-lasting colour.

I paired my Rouge Interdit lip colour with the Universel Transparent lip liner, which is used as a waterproof base and filler. This was the first time I have ever used a transparent liner, but even though it was strange at first, I loved how easy it was to fill my lips with the lipstick. The remaining 10 shade lip liner collection also covers the entire Rouge Interdit Lipstick Collection so you have your perfect match.

There are a few other Givenchy favourites that I have, so I kept with the classic look and created a bronze glow using Givenchy’s Le Prisme Visage in N°5 Soie Apricot and their Healthy Glow Powder in 03 Ambre Saison. I even like to take my Healthy Glow Powder and add it to my eyelids as a transition shade in my crease and adding a gold shadow to the lid and bottom lash line.
