Combat Chapped Winter Lips with These Products

The winter is making me feel some type of way – DRY!

Though I’d love to be able to vacation to somewhere warm the entire season, there really is not escape from the winter weather so if i can’t beat it, I’ll join it! The dryness in the air is having a big effect on my skin and my hair and of course, my lips. Cracked, dry and chapped lips was never a “look” so I’ve been focused on bringing hydration to my lips so that I can live my best life and continue to comfortable wear my favourite lippies even during this super cold and depressing time of year.

There are so many lip balms and products on the market to help combat winter lips, but over the years I’ve compiled a roster of favourites from some of my absolute favourite brands.

• I’m a firm believer that the first step to hydrating and properly caring for your lips is giving them a good scrub. Lush Vanilla Honey Scrub is my favourite product to scrub off all the dry skin so I can get my lips feeling super smooth before I apply all the balm and lipsticks!
• My nighttime skincare regime is legit and I love to lather my skin and lips during the winter months right before I go to bed so that I am hydrated and moisturized as soon as I wake up! The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is what I use almost every single night and the texture is perfect. It adheres to your lips perfectly so it really lasts the entire night!
• When it comes to everyday chapped and dry lips, I love a good Burt’s Bees product. Whether its the original beeswax balm or this Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus, there are a number of products from Burt’s Bees that are guaranteed to cure your winter lips!
• fresh Beauty lip products are some of my very favourites and both the Sugar Lip Wonder Drops and the Sugar Coconut Hydrating Lip Balm currently reside in my purse all season long. The drops act as a leave-on treatment that gently exfoliates, softens, and smoothes dry lips and gets them ready for lipstick, while the hydrating lip balm is perfect on its own or under your favourite lipstick.
• I fell in love with Lanolips when I received it in a gift bag a while back and since then, I’ve been hooked! Their 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm is what you need this winter – no questions asked. Not only is this multipurpose perfect for deep moisturizing your lips, but this product works in so many other places. I also apply it to super dry skin, cuticles, you name it!
• If you are looking for something simple but effective, a tiny jar of Blistex Lip Medex works wonders. When your lips just flat out hurt and feel extremely dry, this product offers quick cooling relief when you need it the most!
