Everyone and their mother has a perfume nowadays. With the top dogs like Givenchy, Chanel, D&G, as well as our boys Ralph, Calvin, and Tommy, Hollywood stars have a hard time keeping their scents out of the clearance section – not that they’ll starve if they can’t, but no one wants to feel bad about the product they put absolutely no effort into creating, investing, and marketing.
If I sound bitter it’s because I am – ha, just kidding. I love smelling fabulous just as much as the next girl and even though I have my staple collection of high-end bottles, I don’t actually care who made the product as long as the scent is infatuating. Most artists have done a great job of bottling up something lovely that teenage girls run to Shopper’s for but let’s be honest, there are some celebrities we really don’t want to smell like…stench de Ke$ha?
I’ve tried out every Britney Spears perfume, as well as J-Lo which I liked, but I am actually really loving three releases from Beyonce. Surprised? I didn’t think so – Beyonce’s #%$* don’t stink and errbody knows it. This woman is a genuinely hard to hate – she’s just talented and sweet and married to Jay-Z…le sigh.
These perfumes are absolutely delicious, are not at all over-powering and smell so lovely on the skin. The bottles aren’t your typical tacky celeb design, and although the names all sound like ER terms, they have a sense of sophistication about them. Before I start rambling on about how much I adore each one I’ll just get into the breakdowns:
Beyonce Pulse
- Smells like Lillies of the Valley
- Subtle sweet floral scent
- Perfect for spring
Beyonce Heat Rush
- Soft & light citrus scent
- Perfect for summer
Beyonce Heat
- Soft, sweet – not really fruity, not really floral, not really citrus – but smells amazing, very clean
- I’ll say it’s good for every season
