Fashion Takes Action is partnering with Women’s Healthy Environments Network (WHEN) to showcase and celebrate sustainable fashion and beauty in Connect Beauty 2014. The highlight of the night is the eco fashion show featuring media personalities and environmental leaders as models! Ten designers will be featured on the runway:

• Miik
• Vespertine
• Annie Thompson
• Leave Nothing But Footprints
• Meemoza

Guests will also enjoy a beauty bar, photo kiosk, local sustainable snacks, and a silent auction full of eco friendly products, services and experiences!

The silent auction features exciting items such as:

• a signed copy of Adria Vasil’s Ecoholic Body + a 2 hour home consult with her looking through your bathroom and makeup bag!
• all kinds of eco fashion clothing and accessories by various FTA members a one night stay at the Eaton Chelsea hotel in a junior deluxe suite
• a pair of El Naturalista sandals
• tons of eco friendly beauty products
• Gift certificate + cookbook courtesy of Fresh
• Living wall container system
• Moksha Yoga Danforth unlimited monthly pass

This fundraiser will benefit “My Clothes My World,” a full day workshop for elementary students.  Interactive activities elicit discussion around issues such as consumerism, labour rights and environmental degradation.
