All of Toronto is happy to have our Blue Jays back as well as Oliver & Bonacini’s home game promotion at Canteen (330 King St. W.). From the team who brought fans the Knuckle Sandwich comes Dugout Dogs: blue cornmeal corn dogs in support of the Toronto Blue Jays. Starting Apr. 4 and running for every Blue Jays home game, celebrate the baseball season with delicious food and drinks before heading down to the ball game.
Corn dogs are synonymous with baseball, so Canteen chef de cuisine Michael Hay created a crowd-worthy snack with O&B’s renowned quality. For just $12, fans can get two gluten-free blue cornmeal all-beef corn dogs, with a side of Yukon Gold fries and homemade ballpark mustard. Wash it down with a $5 pint of Mill St. Tankhouse Ale and you’ve got the best pre or post game treat steps away from the Rogers Centre. On home game days starting at 11am, the Dugout Dogs are available until they are sold out whether you want to dine in inside or on the patio, and also if you’re on the go!
“We wanted to put an updated twist on a classic stadium staple, with the quality that guests are used to from O&B restaurants,” said Hay. “Corn dogs evoke a sense of nostalgia and childhood, the feeling baseball fans get when they see their team on the field.”
