I’ve heard a lot about Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré from a few professional make-up artists and skincare specialists, but it took me a long time to make the investment. The price tag isn’t huge at approximately $28.00 for 75ml, but it’s still quite expensive when your skin is sensitive like mine and you don’t know if the product will wreak havoc on your face. I finally bit the bullet and gave it a try.
WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS:
A wonderful care product – a real beauty secret, favoured by dermatologists for decades; a combination of ingredients of natural origin with recognised virtues, rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins. Provides the skin with all the nutrients and water needed for its balance, reconstitutes its hydrolipidic film – the barrier that protects the skin from aggression – and accelerates cell renewal. Moisturised*, nourished and repaired, the skin is supple and elastic once more. It is plumped, smoothed, and incredibly soft. Signs of dryness and discomfort disappear, leaving the skin soothed. Its creamy milk texture leaves a satin film, even on dry skin.
Skin is nourished in-depth, no longer feels tight and is soothed. Its surface is softer and more radiant, as though revitalised. Its reparative effect on damage caused by passing time and external aggressors is visible on application.* The outer layers of the skin
COSMETOLOGICAL ADVICE
Apply morning and/or evening to clean, dry face. Massage in gently without applying pressure, and leave to penetrate. The Lait-Crème Concentré can also be used to cleanse the skin or remove make-up, as a repairing mask, an after-shave cream, or as a baby-care product.
WHAT I SAY:
I’m sure that the five star rating already gave away my opinion, but I have to say that I absolutely love this moisturizer. I have dry, sensitive skin that is prone to hormonal acne. I also go for laser hair removal treatments, microdermabrasion, and facial peels. Although these procedures are meant to help me, I find it especially difficult to calm my agitated skin right after each treatment. I’ve resorted to using a special medicated cream but that only helps with swelling and not really with keeping my skin hydrated. That’s where Embryolisse comes in!
Thanks to this cream my skin is supple, smooth, and soft. My makeup looks a million times better and stays on all day. My skin has stopped flaking and my acne has also reduced a little. It’s replaced most of my creams and I use it religiously both day and night. It’s only been a couple of weeks so I’m still in the early stages of using this product, but I already know that I’ll be purchasing another tube.
Even though this cream is recommended for all skin types, I wouldn’t use it as a day moisturizer on oily skin. Embryolisse leaves a dewey finish which could be a problem for someone with an already shiny face, but it won’t matter for night time. Give it a try and see what works best for you!
Unfortunately if you live in Canada it will be quite difficult to find a local retailer (there are only three in Toronto) but you can order it online from Jordane Cosmetics.
I’d love to hear your opinions and experiences. Have you tried anything from Embryolisse?
