How often do you come across foods in your pantry that are actually good for you? Unless, you have purposely purchased healthy food, chances are majority of the items are unhealthy. Lucky for us, Avocados, Coffee, Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate and Eggs are normally apart of one’s weekly consumption, perhaps even daily. The best part of it all is they do more good for your body rather than harm. If you don’t already enjoy any of these food items on a consistent basis, it won’t hurt to add them to your weekly food rotation.
AVOCADOS: contain heart-healthy fats and can help your body absorb more of the healthy nutrients from other foods. For example: the lycopene in Tomatoes
COFFEE: Did you know that by drinking three to six cups of Coffee a day, you’ve just lowered your risks of getting Type 2 Diabetes by 28 percent? Drink it, you won’t regret it
PEANUT BUTTER: Eating moderate amounts has been associated with lower total cholesterol, lower LDL or “bad” cholesterol, and lower triglycerides, all of which mean lower cardiovascular disease risk
DARK CHOCOLATE: Flavanols I’m less processed chocolate, like dark chocolate can both reduce blood pressure and improve blood flow.
EGGS: They’re one of the richest sources of choline, a nutrient essential for brain health. Plus, they’re only about 75 calories.
