Going out for Dinner has become quite the hassle when trying to maintain a healthy diet, especially throughout patio season. After researching and testing out several eatery’s in Toronto, I’ve come across five healthy restaurants worth the visit. Every restaurant has their own style when whipping up these nutritious meals, however they are all equally delicious. Sacrificing your healthy-eating goals is no longer an issue as long as you are dining out at one of the restaurants below. Happy Healthy Eating! (By the way, these restaurants are in no particular order)
Grasslands- 478 Queen St. West
This vegan eatery is in one of Toronto’s hippest neighbourhoods. Vegan dishes inspired by Northern Mediterranean cuisine, including several favourites from Fressen days.
Live Organic Food Bar-264 Dupont St
Co-owner and chef Jennifer Italiano’s menu has both raw-food and cooked offerings, but all are vegan and most are gluten free. The Tempeh “Crab Cakes” are a big hit.
Four Restaurant- 187 Bay St. Concourse Level
This Toronto eatery has banished the deep fryers and limits calories for all of its dishes. Four offers a balanced approach to guilt-free dining.
Glow Fresh Grill- 7 Marie Labatte Rd, UNit #E1
One of the best restaurants in Toronto, their menu options are quite tasty yet low in calories especially their Sunday brunches, definitely a must try.
Fresh- Bloor St W, Crawford St and Spadina St.
The food on the menu is made daily in-house, from whole, natural ingredients, and their healthy juices are made right before your eyes. The menu is vegan friendly but their Tofu sandwich tastes just like Chicken, you definitely can’t go wrong eating at Fresh.
If you’ve eaten at any of the restaurants mentioned above, let us know what you’ve enjoyed on the menu.

Fresh is so delicious! I love the patio at the Crawford location. I always get the quinoa battered onion rings and a baby energy bowl. I don’t eat rice/soba noodles so I ask for extra vegetables instead (no extra charge). I even make them myself at home 🙂
