Even tough summer is on its way in Toronto, we can’t help but begin to feel the itch that makes us crave travelling around the world and experiencing different destinations. For us at the moment, we can’t stop thinking about Stockholm, and frankly, neither should you! Whether you want to plan a romantic getaway, a birthday celebration and even a bachelorette party, the options are endless of fun things to do and see in Stockholm.

Of course, you want the partying. It is one of the main reasons you have a party, but, it isn’t the only reason. Instead of drinking and participating in a conventional vacation with the friends, take a look at these four great reasons to plan your next Stockholm vacay and get inspired to plan a trip to remember!

1.    Luxury

Luxury is still on the menu in Stockholm; it is just very different from how you know it. The spas and health resorts that you know at home are completely different to the ones you find in Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia. The Swedes invented saunas and they certainly know how to evolve them as well. Get twelve of your closest ladies and rent a sauna float for the day. The sauna float is a contraption that you can ride along the waterways of Stockholm, complete with snacks, drinks and toiletries.

But, the Swedes are not a one trick pony. They also deal in other treatments, and you can go to an amazing Japanese spa. Yasuragi has various treatments as well as hot springs, an indoor pool and, you guessed it, a sauna!

2.    Adventure

After a day of rest and relaxation, you need some adrenaline pumping through your veins to wake up. Stockholm is fantastic for adventure because of the amazing rolling hills and mountains that are spread across the country. There is hiking, climbing and even whale watching which is great for bonding with friends or a loved one and getting to see the real Sweden. If you’re a kid at heart though, we really recommend Gröna Lund amusement park Stockholm where you are sure to have a blast!

3.    Great Food

Sweden isn’t known for its fantastic food, but there are great dishes out there that suit everyone. Well, there is when you hire a chef for the day. They bring the ingredients and whip up the meals, which are unbelievable by the way. All you do is turn up, eat what is put in front of you and drink a lot of wine.

Also, if you can get involved and learn the tricks of the trade yourself, you can take the skills you learnt home!

4.    Party All Night

Of course, there has to be nightlife. Well, if you can make it out at night after all this, Stockholm has some of the most renowned hotspots in Europe. DJs from around the world travel to Stockholm to world famous clubs and the atmosphere is brilliant. We definitely recommending trying the Stora Salongen where you can party until the early hours of the morning, or Golden Hits if 80s disco is more your thing.
