On your wedding day, you want your guests to have an unforgettable experience. Ideally, they’ll be talking about your wedding day for years to come! The entertainment is one way of getting them talking. Here are some fun entertainment ideas for your big day!
Photo Booth
Hiring a fun photobooth is beneficial for a number of reasons. Your guests will have so much fun playing with the props and being silly in the booth, plus, they get a nice souvenir to take home with them! You might also want to make some copies for your wedding album.
Dance Instructor
One way to get people up on the dance floor is to provide them with a dance lesson. Hire a dance instructor to give a few moves and tips before everybody gets up to party. It livens the party and gets your guests on the dance floor!
Live Band
There’s nothing quite like rocking out to a live band. You can hire the best function bands if you go through the right channels. They could be a cover band that you both love, or a small band you like the sound of. You could give a few suggestions if you’d like them to do covers, but they’ll mostly do their own thing.
Pick ‘n’ Mix Cart
Food can be entertainment too! A pick ‘n’ mix cart will be great for kids and kids at heart. Provide bags and cups that everybody can fill up to their heart’s content. You could even use this as your favor and tell people to take a bag home! I’m sure they’ll prefer this to sugared almonds.
Food Truck
Get a food truck to roll up later on in the night and feed everybody again. Street food like kebabs will be greatly appreciated after a tipple or two, and everybody will be very excited! If you want to go the late-night food route, you could opt for an ice cream cart!
Bouncy Castle
Are you and your other half big kids at heart? Then hire a bouncy castle! This is perfect for an outdoor wedding or a wedding where a lot of kids will be attending. Adults will no doubt want to get in on the action. It’s also a great laugh for brides who may want to forget some of the stresses that a wedding day brings!
DIY Confetti/Flowers
People like to throw confetti at weddings, but why not have a little fun by giving them DIY confetti or flowers? Set up a table before the reception and allow them to create their own concoctions before throwing it as you make your way to the reception. We love the idea of an assortment of tiny flowers that guests can scoop up and throw if you are planning an outdoor wedding!
These fun entertainment ideas will put everybody in a great mood and make your wedding something extra special. Leave a comment with your favorites or any suggestions you may have. Have a wonderful time!
