GAP Spring/Summer 2019 Favourites

For as long as I can remember, I have been a serious fan of the GAP brand. From receiving my first ever authentic GAP sweater as a young kid, to shopping the store and online literally every single season, I have always been obsessed. Not to mention that their sizing for curvy girls like me is always on point!

For my trip to Mexico, I was lucky enough to receive a few of my favourite pieces for the season, and of course, I wasn’t disappointed. From a super comfy jumpsuit to my go-to sandals while relaxing on vacation and loads of ultra cute pieces that are perfect for the warm weather, I thought that I would put together a quick post on some GAP pieces you need for all the summertime fun!

The Jumpsuit

This jumpsuit was already a winner with its lightweight fabric and simple but charming print, but when I finally put this on for dinner, I was happy to see just how comfortable this piece is. It was so breathable in the Mexico heat and of my gosh guys, I didn’t even wear a bra. I am a 34J, so it is something that does NOT happen often, so it was a special moment for me.

I’ve had a few questions about this piece and naturally with a jumpsuit, it can be tricky to fit depending on your torso/leg ratio, so always size up if you get it pulling up your crotch – it’s not a good look. lol

The Skirt 

This flowy skirt was the skirt I never knew I needed. The fabric is also lightweight and the print was not initially what I was looking for, but it turned out being such  a great piece that fit well in my wardrobe!

I plan to sew the skirt where the buttons are, which is something I do all the time when buttons are spread too far apart. That way, regardless of how I sit, walk and move around, I never have to worry that the gap will show my undies or better yet, my spanx!

The Sandals

These sandals are so cute and the espadrille style is very much still on trend for summer. The spotted detail offers an animal print vibe and works for those who don’t want a print so big, but looking for something other than a plain colour.

The Dress

This dress let me tell you, is freaking adorable. I do wish I went down a size because I always just assume that because of my chest, I need a huge size, but this dress was proportioned perfectly. The ruffle detail was so charming for Mexico and this dress is ideal for the summer. You can easily pair it with a fun and flirty sandals like these yellow Schutz, or with a simple pair of slip on sandals for weekend fun.

This dress also comes in different colours and a different spaghetti strap style, so this is a great dress to amp up your summer wardrobe!
