Since I did a mini rant and rave over Givenchy yesterday I felt it necessary to continue but this time with a fragrance. I’ve mentioned before that my all-time favourite and signature perfume was, is, and will forever be Givenchy Hot Couture. Although I wear many perfumes on rotation, I had never tried a different one from Givenchy, until last year that is.
Now I can proudly say that Givenchy’s Dahlia Noir is the fourth perfume to grace the perfume stash on my dresser. The fragrance was created by François Demachy and Riccardo Tisci and I have to say that they are absolute geniuses. This scent is the perfect enhancement to your outfit, hair style, and makeup. It has a very fresh, clean, powdery smell that sits lovely on the skin.
It is very feminine and reminiscent of a form of classic beauty. I can picture Marilyn Monroe dabbing Dahlia Noir behind her ears before the Oscars.
The bottle is very simple and neat but sophisticated and luxurious at the same time.
