Created by Commute Design the space is divided into two distinct areas, each carrying a personality of it’s own. There is also a chefs table, open kitchen, soaring ceilings, unique reflective surfaces and a beautiful city view. Making your dining experience relaxing and easy on the eyes.
Chef Kriss has built a great repertoire working extensively in France and trained under legendary chef Daniel Bouland in New York. With his expertise the food is nothing short of perfection. There are three principles that Chef Kriss’ menu follows: global ingredients, world inspiration, and classic French technique. With these three principles each dish will surely reach all your palette needs.
To start, there is a traditional tasting menu in the most classic sense. The main courses are created daily, with the goal to deliver a layered, flavourful experience. Each component is carefully thought out, utilizing all parts of the animals and vegetables, all while following French execution. As for the deserts (my favourite part), the menu has been co-created by an amazing pastry chef known for her superb execution, Cori Murphy.
If you’re not looking to indulge in a full three course meal, but would like to sip cocktails and eat light snacks then the bar service at alo is what you need. The bar menu consists of sharable small plates that are inspired by the menu in the main dining room. Bar manager John Bunner has crafted an interesting selection of cocktails that are both classic and very French. Sommelier Anjana Viswanatha curated an elegant array of wines from around the world.
Don’t miss out on the French hospitality here and check it out. Be sure to visit the alo website to get the full menu!
