On September 20th from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. the collective brain and driving force behind Toronto’s King East Design District (KEDD), joining forces with 3d parti, invite you to an unprecedented showcase of art and design on the street.
If you’re interested in design, this is where you’ll want to be this weekend.
For one day only, King East will come to life as artists and designers transform the area into a life-sized, all-day, free to the public art gallery, to fete Toronto’s downtown Design District (KEDD) and its official launch.
From Church to east of Parliament, this public art project will prove that creativity is in this neighborhood’s DNA.
Entrance to the KEDD 3d parti festival is free, but attendees are invited to make a donation for the 3d parti pack, the guide to the festival. All proceeds go to support Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area.
Installations will include everything from a massive 10’x 10’ installation, artists preparing to charge the street like a herd of elephants, a mirrored cube playing on light and optical illusion, a life-sized arch of chair, edible art in the street and much more.
Here are some of the showrooms and installations you can expect:
