Even though I was born in Canada and spent many many winters braving the cold, it is something that no one, including myself, can really get used to. Once the temperatures hit an all time low, we are all constantly looking to layer and layer until we get that desired warmth, and sometimes, we don’t even get that.

This winter, I told myself that this would change. I would find a winter coat that was going to keep me oh so cozy and warm but stylish too. My prayers were answered when the lovely people at Eleven Elfs asked me to be an ambassador for their stylish down-filled outerwear coats. The only trouble I had was choosing the style I liked the most! Boy were there options!

Created by Italian fashion designer, Manual Luciano, the brand was designed for the “classy adventurer”. Mastering the art of the down-filled jacket, Eleven Elfs celebrates individuality and contemporary style and successfully brings urban sophistication to the great outdoors.

Consisting of 5 different styles from their Fall/Winter Collection ranging from vests to thigh length coats, the brand has created body flattering silhouettes with unique design details and colour blocking touches. The water repellent and ultra warm fabrics with a removable fur trim is just the icing on the cake to the beautiful style which leaves you with the perfect combination of style and function for the Canadian winter.

This past weekend I visited my Family’s favourite tree farm up north to cut down our Christmas tree, so naturally my Eleven Elfs Ice Age down coat in dark grey came in handy. I couldn’t have been more happy to have picked this style jacket. Practical enough to keep me warm but not stuffy and still stylish enough that my personal style shows, I felt like I had found the coat of my dreams. I paired the coat with some comfortable but fashionable items like my Banana Republic turtleneck, Cougar Boots and Bench Canada toque to finish off the festive look for our fun-filled Holiday tradition.

Whether I’m cutting down trees, enjoying snowy activities or just hanging out in the city, I know I will be ready and warm for whatever weather comes my way!
