For the Greta Constantine F/W 2015 at Paris Fashion Week, designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong signal a return to womanly individuality in dressing up.
A sleeveless column coat void of seams and a lapel is elevated in a rich, midnight black ponyhair hide. By contrast, a jodhpur jumpsuit with draped scarf detailing in a cotton-metal blend offers up a dream-like vision of an apocalyptic future femininity through texture. Cropped silk wool pants beg for a retreat from winter’s hold. Hand-dyed, gathered silk tulle gowns in ash grey propose a casual luxury approach to evening while a sculptural, bubble cape-dress rings back to a pre-Insta-gown era. Archival references further present themselves in the form of a cocoon opera coat and a pussybow, billowy sleeved gown in opulent black.
