The other weekend, the Interior Design Show featured lots of creative and beautiful home design and décor ideas bound to make a big impact on 2014. Lots of simple and elegant designs from furniture to appliances could all be found in one chic space.
Sleek and modern furniture seemed to be a leading trend showcased by many vendors. With patio weather hopefully approaching sooner than later, Hauser featured modern but also timeless designs for the upcoming warmer months.
Their orange outdoor lounge chairs give a modern twist to more traditional designs like the very popular Muskoka lounge chairs.
IKEA’s showroom featured their affordable kitchen, lounge and bathroom designs with high style. Beautiful marble counter tops and back splashes complimented the grey cabinetry, while a simple powder room design was given the Midas touch courtesy of gold tiling and a gold-framed mirror.
Weaver’s Art featured a variety of carpet designs from geometric prints to abstract blends of colour, all of which would compliment a variety of spaces and colour palettes.
Cocoon’s Aerin space was one of my favourite showrooms. Their use of symmetrical design helped to create a traditional but also warm and welcoming space. The green hues and gold accents complimented each other so well to create a timeless look.
Living Lighting on King showcased very intricate chandelier designs ranging in a variety of sizes and styles. Repurposed teacups and saucers covered the entire back wall of their showroom space to create a very unique lighting experience.
Although the show has wrapped up for another year, you can still check out the exhibitors tab on their website to explore some of the best in home décor and design.
