The ‘Joy of TEX’ with Quesada Burrito Bowls Giveaway
If you know me, then you know that Mexican-inspired food is a huge favourite of mine, and if you’re my boyfriend then you will just call me too obsessed, but I don’t see the problem in wanting Mexican almost every day!
Oh well!
And while I love to sit down at a fancy Mexican Restaurant – because there are so many in Toronto, sometimes I just crave a quick pick up spot with all the delicious Tex Mex flavours and without having to compromise the quality of ingredients. Clearly, when quality of ingredients come into play, you are just staying away from fast food, but my new love, Quesada is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Despite being a quick service restaurant, Quesada has a homemade approach and commitment to freshness with its made-from-scratch approach that happens to be a very unique direction for QSR’s and really sets Quesada apart from its competitors .
This weekend I finally got around to trying their Burrito Bowls and I’m almost embarrassed at how quickly I downed the delicious bowl. Quesada is all about freshness and flavour, with nothing coming from a can like their Salsas like verde, chipotle and roja are made on site fresh daily, so of course their Burrito Bowls wouldn’t be any different. Offering all of the goodness and flavour from a delicious Quesada burrito in a bowl, you can have some fun and customize with the freshest ingredients such an assortment of veggies, beans and made-from-scratch daily salsas and sauces!
These fresh ingredients start each morning with a homemade approach like slow roasting tomatillos and peppers to evoke the most flavour from the ingredients. The big flavour also continues with their pinto and black beans which are slow cooked along with their avocados that are peeled and mashed to begin the guacamole making process, and rice is cooked with cilantro and lime juice for extra kick!
I also love a great bottle of Jarritos, so you know this girl had to get one to enjoy with the Burrito Bowl!While I may have taken my burrito bowl to go, it’s safe to say that owner, Steve Gill has created an upbeat and friendly environment at their locations, creating a Joe of Mex vibe! It was also Steve who had a vision to do something he loved as well as offer customers the freshest, tastiest Mexican inspired food and now there are 59 locations and growing nationally so you can enjoy Quesada’s Burrito Bowls with me!
