Established in Canada since 1915, David Barclay’s family has been designing Stolen Riches laces for over four generations, making these fun and bright laces guaranteed to outlast the shoes itself. They come in different sizes, designed for dress shoes and boots, and in a range of unique colours from woodlawn white and huckleberry yellow, to my favorite, Poona Pink and Bishop Blue.
Not only are these laces a great addition to an outfit, but the laces are all given captions explaining their origins. My Bishop Blue laces that I adore are dawned after Billy Bishop, who, fittingly, had eyes the colour of the sky so they say. How perfect! And of course the Poona Pink laces that were named from Poona, India where the boyhood home of Meher Baba was, a mystic and spiritual master who often wore pink coats. No way you could have known that, or at least I didn’t!
I am absolutely in love with Stolen Riches. I opted for the beautiful blue and neon pink laces (thought I would go for something unexpected). Not only do they look amazing on a men’s inspired oxford shoe, but added to my lace up booties, it couldn’t look more perfect with a flirty and feminine outfit.
Running at no more than $20, the only question now to ask yourself is, which colour would you choose?
