Weddings are magnificent and beautiful events that we never forget. They are also the most expensive event we will ever host. Flowers, catering, drinks and dresses all add up to thousands and thousands of dollars, but we never have any regrets about that. We want to look beautiful, feel beautiful and be married in the most beautiful surroundings. It takes months and months of planning, and nerves of steel to walk up that aisle, but it’s what we are determined to do. There is a lot of work to be done as well as money to be spent, so having a good to-do list is essential when putting together last minute wedding preparations.
As a bride-to-be, the excitement of your big day approaching must be very hard to contain. As you are making your last preparations in the final weeks before the wedding, you may be starting to think about the type of car you would like to use to reach your ceremony. Booking this quite early in could be a good idea, especially if you need the car for the entire day. To get an idea of some of the cars you could be arriving in, check out limo companies like Limos North West. This is the car you will arrive at your ceremony in with your Father. This car is also likely to be used to transport you and your new Husband to the reception venue if it differs from the ceremony. Some people also make use of the Wedding car to drive to other places in the area they would like Wedding photos of.
Another item on your to-do list that can often be left to the last minute is the button holes. While these are traditionally worn by the men, it always seems to fall to the bride to organize them while she is ordering her bouquets. This can be a very good idea if you are choosing a bloom from the bouquet to match the Groom’s buttonhole. Some florists can also prepare baskets of petals for the flower girls to scatter. Be careful to check with the owners of the ceremony venue that they are happy for this to happen. Some venues forbid rice being thrown but will accept petal confetti instead. Order this if your Mother has not yet done so.
Favors are also often quite far down the list of things to do before the big day. Sugared almonds in little drawstring bags are traditional, but you can choose anything you like. For those with nut allergies, this could be a disaster. Instead, try mints or little ornamental gifts. They needn’t be expensive. You can sometimes buy this kind of item in bulk to save even more money. For special guests to your reception, you may want to buy little personal or even personalized gifts. Often family members help decorate, or they make the wedding cake. A little gift presented at the reception can be very much appreciated as a thank you for all their help with your special day. Don’t forget a little thank you card!
