Lunch at Hawthorne Food & Drink

Just this week, I was invited to test out the new spring menu at Hawthorne Food & Drink in Toronto, and with it being Monday, I was able to bring the fiancé along.

Honestly, I love moments like this in blogging. You get to try something different and enjoy the little things like a delicious meal on a gorgeous March afternoon. When you immediately enter Hawthorne, you are greeted by the tall windows that let in all the light along with simple wood tables and an exposed kitchen and bar where you can get a sense of how each drink and meal is created.

Aside from the food tasting great and the decor being quaint and inviting, Hawthorne was established for the sole cause of giving back to the community. The restaurant serves delicious food made from local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients, while providing free training and career development for people in need of skills and employment.
