I had the pleasure of attending the official launch of Make Up For Ever’s ‘What Makes You Blush’ event featuring their new HD Cream Blush, and as a true believer in adding blush to your makeup routine, I was pleasantly surprised by the product.
Created to melt into the skin for a natural flush of colour, the 16-shade collection includes colour groups from light to dark as well as warm & cool undertones to suit every skin tone. The latest innovation to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s iconic HD range were also tested before HD cameras to show its seamless look to the naked eye. The collection not only looks great on, but MUFE promises:
- The perfect balance of Silicone Oils, Dry Oils, and Waxes offer infinite blendability in a long-lasting formula
- Silica Powders and Synthetic Mica allow for a smooth, comfortable texture, while delivering a satin, soft-focus finish
- Clear Mother-of-Pearl and and Pigments give natural colour with a luminous finish for a radiant, healthy glow
At the launch event, I was given instructions by a MUFE makeup artists on which application technique best suits my face shape. After my quick lesson, I was happy to see how the cream blush quickly dried down to a light ‘second skin’ feel rather than the powder that I’m used to. It’s amazing how the colour pops on your cheeks for a flawless finish and a light flush. It can also be layered if you want a more dramatic cheek! Best part? This blush lasts! I had it applied at noon and it lasted until after my dinner date.
Check out the below blush techniques to find out how to apply your blush to compliment your face shape. For my medium to dark skin tone, I was gifted the #320 ( a deep rose shade) and the #410 (a soft coral shade) and I am addicted. I find that the deep rose colour works perfectly for an everyday look while the coral is easy to have fun with and looks great with a pink lip.
Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blush is available for $31.00 at Sephora and Make Up For Ever boutiques.
