Mother’s Day Giveaway with Bulova
Mother’s Day is just a few days away, and while some are scrambling to get reservations, gifts and cards for their Mother or Mother figure, I knew exactly what I planned to give my Mama to celebrate how special she is to me.
I constantly tell my Mother that I don’t know how I will ever be able to repay her for everything she has done for me. I’m sure most can relate, but my Mother was definitely like no other. She is a Mother who lives for her kids. There are 7 of us mind you, so that in itself is a job and one she did so effortlessly. Dedicated to providing for us all, even though we did not have the money, she always put me and my siblings first, and that is only one of the many MANY reasons why she is just amazing.

I one think that I love most about my Mother is that she always but everyone first before her own needs. She is always looking out for everyone else That is what I love about my Mom.

My Mom lead by example. Ever since I can remember Mom spent her spare moments knitting and crocheting items for other people. Never for profit. Always as a gesture of kindness.
She donated hundreds of scarves, hats, mittens, blankets, and afghans over the years. Her items made their way to homeless shelters, maternity wards, and palliative care units.
It was with great irony that we noticed another patient on the same palliative ward as my mother was being comforted by one of her hand crocheted afghans.
Last year Mom lost her personal battle with cancer but her blankets and afghans are continuing to comfort and support others. And that is the greatest legacy she could have left behind.
By example, Mom taught us kindness, generosity & compassion.
