Our favourite fashion gal, Olivia Palermo wed her long time boyfriend, Johannes Huebl in a quiet park located in Bedford, New York this past weekend. The stylish couple had been together for six and a half years and finally said “I Do” at an intimate ceremony consisting of only a handful of close friends and family.
“We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside.” – O.P
In true Olivia Palermo fashion, she opted for a three-piece look from Carolina Herrera for her wedding day – a cream cashmere sweater with scattered ostrich feathers and white shorts with a tulle skirt overlay in layers of satin and silk with floral details cascading down to the hem. Always pushing the boundaries of fashion, Palermo wore a look all her own, rather than sticking to a traditional wedding dress and adding “something blue” to her look with deep blue Manolo Blahniks. Olivia’s makeup was kept simple and casual with a ponytail and romantic makeup.
“I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. my hair was in an uncontrived Pony Tail, one of my favourite personal looks.” – O.P
Of course, Johannes complimented Palermo’s look with a bespoke tailored white Marc Anthony Hamburg suit and pairing it with a Marc Anthony Hamburg piquet shirt, a navy Charvet tie and navy Etro pocket square. Boy, do they make a beautiful couple!
