With the Met Gala having taken place on Monday, there is still lots of buzz going around regarding the looks, the beauty and the after parties. While we expect attendees to the Met Gala to be in full blown costumes, sticking to the theme of the evening, it isn’t always the case. While people like Lady Gaga and Sarah Jessica Parker make it a point to really incorporate the theme “China: Through the Looking Glass”, we couldn’t help but find that some celebrities just go for the wow factor and show up in their raciest looks rather than something that symbolizes the theme. We won’t get too caught up with that, but instead we’ll talk about the beauty. Whether or not these ladies stuck to the theme for their beauty looks along, these following celebs worked their hair and beauty perfectly and well, we just need to give a shoutout to our favourite beauty looks at the Met Gala!

Even though we weren’t totally smitten with Selena Gomez’ dress, her hair was a vision. Very Dolce & Gabbana- esque if we do say so! The sophisticated net hairpiece with the most beautiful white orchids make this hair one of our favourite beauty looks of the night. The clean makeup and striking red lips just adds the perfect sophistication.

It’s difficult to not look perfect when you’re Gigi Hadid, but at the Met Gala she just looked like a vision. Sticking to a stunning but sinple gown look, her makeup and hair allowed the dress to do the talking but complimented the look perfectly. Her long loose waves and bronzy makeup is proof that sometimes, less is more!

For rosie huntington-whiteley, it was the dress AND the beauty that caught our eye. Aside from the figure-flattering dress we loved, we enjoyed the clean, crisp and dramatic lipstick to compliment the peachyy-nude gown she wore. Her hair tied tightly into a bun featuring a heavy part was the best way to showcase her beautiful face and gown that clearly stands alone.

There is no denying that Lily Colins is just gorgeous. With her new pixie cut, all the attention goes straight to her stunning features and those BROWS! While Lily went for something a little reserved for an outfit we are loving the caged headpiece that adds a nice touch of glam to her pixie and pink lips!

Oh, we just can’t get enough of the cute Zendaya. Not afraid to make a statement on the red carpet, this little woman was not only of our favourite beauty looks of the night, but her outfit was one of our favourites too. Fitting with her dress, Zendaya wore a sun-inspired tiara with complimenting long wavy locks down to her waist. With her makeup bronzed and smokey with nothing too busy, we appreciate that she pulled the whole outfit together with sun-inspired jewellery to create a cohesive look! selena

It’s amazing what a great haircut can do! Since Dakota Johnson chopped off her locks into a bob, we just feel like she has transformed and in this dress, she looks like a smokeshow. The fresh faced beauty easily gets away with minimal makeup so with a vibrant matte lip and extended thick cat eye, we are loving this no-fuss look. We wish we could have seen her in a different dress (though this mini is beautiful) but at least the beauty was on par!
