Sassoon’s style menu focuses on the currently popular hair styles including a selection of versatile braids, waves and ponies for mid length and longer hair. The undone fishtail Braid has become a popular do over the years, and we love the versatile look it offers as it can even work for a sophisticated occasion as well. The polished gloss of the Sleek Pony is far from your average ponytail and provides a classy take on the style, while the Dressed Wave is a perfect finishing detail for a premium red carpet look.

Since my hair is mid-length and full of layers, I opted for a combination of the Polished Wave and the Glam Wave. Creative Director of Blow & Style, Wesley at the Sassoon Salon located in Yorkville talked me through the process of how to achieve this glam look at home using simple techniques and the right products. After running a curling iron through each piece, he then used rollers to allow the curls to cool down, which gave my hair the body and hold that is needed for this hairstyle. Once the curls cooled down, he brushed out the curls to give my hair the right mixture of curl and bounce. Let’s just say I quickly made plans that night because my hair was on point!
