Simple Back to School Makeup with Maybelline
I may not be heading back to school in September, but I can’t help but feel like the month brings a fresh start. Fresh new wardrobe, an updated goal list for your year and of course, new makeup that has you feeling like you can stay up late studying but still wake up looking fly.
With back to school comes early mornings and late nights, but just like having the perfect wardrobe to showcase your style this year, you need some go-to makeup looks that can be created in just a short time so you can hit that snooze one last time!
Maybelline has recently introduced a number of amazing products that are filling our makeup cases and we just couldn’t help but share them! This makeup tutorial is perfect for a day of hitting the books, work and even post-work fun with just adding a dramatic cat eye or a deeper hue of Maybelline’s Color Blur lip colours!
Not only is this look easy to create, but with the help of Maybelline’s ‘The Blushed Nudes” you can swap eyeshadow colours to create different variations of this look! Check out the simple tutorial tips below:
Face:
After moisturizing, prep face with a primer and then using a beauty blender, apply SuperStay Better Skin Foundation to the entire face for an even complexion. Follow up with SuperStay Better Skin Concealer in the form of a triangle underneath each eye and then blend with a beauty blender to even out and brighten under the eye. Finish off the face with translucent loose setting powder.
Eyes:
I always start with the eyebrows and for this look, I used Maybelline’s Eye Studio Brow Define + Fill Duo and filled in both eyebrows, brushing them through as I go! After the brows are on fleek, I reached for The Blushed Nudes Palette and used pink and taupe for the whole lid and deep brown on the corner of the lid to create a light but smokey effect. For everyday, I skipped the dramatic liner and just coated my lashes a few times with Volum’Express The Colossal Chaotic Lash Mascara.
Lips:
For the perfect lip colour, I went for the Lip Studio Color Drama Blur in the shade “I like to Mauve it”. For the daytime, leave out the liner and just apply the lip colour and then finish it off with a light coat of Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss. The combination of the two is the perfect look for daytime!
It’s as simple as that!
