Stella Artois Sensorium – A Feast For All Five Senses
While movie premieres light up the silver screen in Toronto this month, an unprecedented dining experience from Stella Artois will illuminate King Street West. Stella Artois today announced the global premiere of Stella Artois’Sensorium, an immersive multi-course, multi-sensory dining experience that will run September 10 – 27, 2015.
Within a specially created dome at 525 King Street West, guests will be immersed in a 360 degree experience, surrounded by video and interactive elements that engage and amplify all of the senses throughout the night. The experience will unfold over five-courses; each dish is inspired by one of the five senses, and paired with Stella Artois.
Stella Artois’ Sensorium is being created in partnership with a team of sensorial experts led by Richie Farina, former Executive Chef at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Chicago. These experts will work together to create an interactive experience that challenges the guests’ sense of taste, touch, sight, sound and smell.
Stella Artois’ Sensorium was inspired by the Belgian brewery’s iconic glass chalice.
“We drew inspiration from Stella Artois’ iconic chalice to bring Sensorium to life. Crafted with thought, care and intent, the chalice engages all five senses for a superior beer experience,” said Todd Allen, Global VP, Stella Artois. “Stella Artois’ Sensorium is an original and completely reimagined dining experience that will do the same. Our goal is to wow guests with an evening that changes the way they think about dining.”
In addition to Farina, who is renowned for his cinematic panache and focus on local foods, a roster of sensorial experts will contribute to the remainder of the sensory journey including:
- Filmmaker Jamie Webster, Director Common Good, whose original 360 degree film will be projected inside the dome, reinventing diners’ sense of space.
- Nyles Miszczyk, Head Producer and Engineer at Royal Mountain Records, who will bring ambience to the dome with his five-course set list, including original compositions.
- Dr. Irwin Adams Eydelnanat, Creative & Scientific Director of Future Food Studio – a food thought laboratory – who will design new interactions within the food environment and infuse the dome with aromas that engage our most primal sense, triggering memory, emotion, and pure pleasure.
- The iconic Stella Artois Chalicewill act as the final sensorial muse – its design inspired the sensory-enhancing atmosphere.
Stella Artois’ Sensorium will run exclusively in Toronto from September 10 to 27, 2015 with up to two 80-person seatings per night. Seats are now available for purchase at StellaArtoisSensorium.com.
