Stress Relievers Throughout The Day

I came across a picture from Women’s Health referring to stress relievers, and I thought it would be a good idea to share, as stress has become quite predominant in women. Whether your stress is caused by work, family, money, etc, you need to refrain from hindering your life with unnecessary stress. Unfortunately, studies do show that women tend to stress a lot more than men which doesn’t seem to be much of a surprise. Women occasionally stress over little things as opposed to men who merely spend time stressing over issues that can be fixed. If you take the time and practice these tips (provided below) throughout your day, you’ll definitely notice a happier you!

1) 7:00 AM

Program your alarm to wake you up with soothing music. Even setting your alarm a few minutes earlier than usual, will give you the ability to wake up naturally without feeling rushed to hop out of bed.

2) 9:30 AM

At the office, clear desk of clutter and open the blinds or turn on a sunlamp before you dive into your email.

3) 12:30 PM

Take a 20- minute lunch break outdoors to give your brain a break. The break will give your mind the rest it needs and the natural sunlight (if you work in a cubicle) will drastically brighten your mood.

4) 4:00 PM

Instead of drinking coffee, play upbeat tunes and do some light stretching to wake up at your desk before you leave work.

5) 6:30 PM

Rely on pre-planned meals and dinner dates to avoid scrambling for evening plans and be sure to make healthier food options to give yourself more energy.

The above list can easily help with your day to day stress, but by simply choosing healthy food options, getting more sleep at night and getting active throughout the week, it will generally help your overall mood!

Don’t forget, calling a close friend and having a good laugh is the BEST way to relieve stress!
