As previously mentioned here, I was lucky enough to team up with CLEAR SCALP & HAIR to offer our Girls of T.O fans a ticket giveaway to see The Voice Live Tour Concert in Toronto last Thursday.

After hearing the sincere excitement from the winners of the giveaway, I immediately got pumped up for Thursday’s festivities. While I may not follow every episode of The Voice, there are those contestants and performances that are unforgettable, so I was equally excited for the evening to take place.

Kicking the night off at the Sony Centre for Performing Arts, was sound check with a handful of fans followed by a meet and greet with The Voice Tour performers. I had actually never been to a sound check before but I was happily surprised that the gathering was intimate and exclusive, allowing the fans to get questions answered and enjoy some sing along fun.

Following the sound check, the room was buzzing with contestants’ fans as I saw CD’s, t-shirts and posters waiting to get signed. I had the chance to meet Tessanne Chin, Dia Frampton and Kristen Merlin who happen to be some of my favourites for who I talked hair with. I mean, c’mon, have you seen their hair? Each one of them had a hairstyle that was gorgeous but edgy and a style all their own. I was pleased to see that each performer was so incredibly sweet and kind and remained patient when the lineups for autographs and hugs continued to grow. I even happened to get a photo in the legendary “I Want You” chair as I secretly imagined I was sitting in Adam Levine’s actual seat. A girl can dream, right?

Once 7:30pm came around, I was more than excited to see how the show would turn out and what songs they would sing. My favourite performances happened to be Josh Kaufman’s version of “Stay with Me” by Sam Smith and Christina Grimmie’s version of “Hold On We’re Going Home” by Drake, though I’ll admit to singing along with just about every song that was performed.

I’m still re-living the excitement of the night and I’m confident that now I’ll be a bonafide The Voice fan and tuning in when Season 7 rolls around.
