The Sandals You Need this Summer

Lately I’ve been all about summer sandals, and picking up as many different styles as much as possible (and what my credit card allows). From vibrant prints and colours to classic styles in both flat and heeled options, I am on the hunt for all the stunning sandals that are on trend this year.

With that being said, let’s jump into a few trends that I’m loving and following this year.

Block Heel

Not only do block heel sandals look so chic, but they are ultra comfortable, so whether you are out on the weekend running or wearing them throughout the work week, these are a no brainer option. There is no reason to compromise style for comfort, so a block heel sandal is a great alternative to a pump or a wedge this summer. This white pair from Le Chateau are so comfortable and look effortless with a summer dress or tailored shorts!

Vibrant 

I typically stick to neutrals like black, white and cream throughout fall and winter, but when the summer hits, I’m all for an added hit of big colour. These yellow strappy heels have been my latest obsession and not only are they comfortable, but this pair actually goes with everything!

With neon totally on trend this year, opt for something super vibrant in a neon yellow, orange or pink, but if neon is just too much, go for just a bright hue that will easily work within your wardrobe. I’ve been such a fan of yellows, oranges and pink, but I’ve been seeing loads of blues, teals and red, so whatever your colour preference, I’m sure you can find it!

Prints + Texture

For someone who considered animal print a neutral, it’s super easy to incorporate a statement print into your wardrobe for summer. Snake print and Cheetah-like print (like this Gap pair) are a no brainer, but don’t feel limited. Go for a floral print and even opt for a bit of a texture like these Schutz sandals that have the best braided detail. Prints and textures on your shoes make it perfect to pair with a simple white dress, flowy culottes or a simple jeans and a tee for those classic days!

Fresh Whites

White or cream is always a shade that I flock towards, because it can look so chic and classic AND killer with a summer tan. Lately I’ve been trying to go for other shades, but I couldn’t get away from a few classic white pairs of sandals this season. Instead of going for anything black or brown this season, a pair of white or cream sandals will easily elongate your legs when worn with shorts or a dress and its the perfect way to showcase your badass pedicure!

These flat sandals were ideal while I was vacationing because even on the most casual of moments, these shoes were a great touch that kept everything simple, but clean and fresh!
