Now that New York Fashion weeks has ended, it’s time to recap trends seen on the Fall 2014 runways that you will be coveting later this year. From plaid to emeralds and Fall’s staple, the chunky knit, these looks are seen all over the runways at NYFW, but they are easy to translate to an everyday wardrobe!
Plaid
Since the polar vortex is still in full force, plaid coats dominated the runways from Victoria Beckham to Tommy Hilfiger and it’s clear that the tartan print is here to stay – and keep us warm.
Knits
It isn’t surprising to see chunky knits draping statuesque models on the runway. Wrap them over a pencil skirt or double up on layers with an oversized scarf like Michael Kors. It’s a sure win both on and off the runway.
Emerald
This jewel tone is in full force. Rock shades of jade, emerald and shamrock for a luxurious and chic look like Proenza Schouler, Creatures of the Wind and Derek Lam.
