Toronto Pearson brings luxury to airport shopping with the help of The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and retail partner Nuance Group for their latest expansion of the Nuance Duty Free luxury shops.
To most Canadians, the idea of “Duty Free” typically meant alcohol and souvenirs, but Toronto Pearson has made the transition to luxury shopping with the successful addition of the The Duty Free Store by Nuance, providing a world-class shopping experience. With a whopping 80 per cent of travellers enjoying duty free while at the airport, this new collection of shops is the perfect place to pick up something nice while travelling and definitely the ideal way to kill time in between flights!
Like most, we love to travel, but the idea of the airport is normally our least favourite of the journey. Long lines, waiting, delayed flights – the list goes on with moments when you wish travelling were easy, but we have a really good feeling about this new addition! Nothing quite beats starting your trip on a relaxing and luxurious note, and whether you want to pick up something for a loved one or for yourself or even to enjoy a nice meal and drink before a flight, the new Terminal 1 Duty Free is the place to shop and dine while travelling!
Spanning over 20,000 square feet, the Terminal 1 International Duty Free holds a wide selection of top fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands including some of our favourites like Burberry, Coach, Ferragamo, Gucci, Tissot, Victoria’s Secret and more! The space was also designed to feel just like a shopping mall featuring 68 restaurants, 84 shops and 36 services along with a clean layout showcasing custom designs which create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers and travellers to explore with dining options and a GoodLife Fitness to enhance the passenger experience. Not only do we believe this is going to make our destinations in and out of Toronto Pearson better, but we actually can’t wait to take our trip to NYC in June so we can experience this for ourselves!
A quick trip to the beautiful Burberry store and possibly a makeup touch up from MAC Cosmetics before our trip is the perfect way to touch down in NYC and ready for anything! Our flight is around dinner time as well, so we’ll definitely be stopping by one of the many restaurants and bars located in Terminal 1. A glass of wine to calm the flying nerves? Sounds like perfection!
It’s also sad but true that on more than one occasion that underwear has been forgotten, so thank the lord that we can use that as an excuse to pick up something cute at Victoria’s Secret! Maybe they’ll be forgotten on purpose now!
With nearly 70 per cent of duty free shoppers seeing the shops as a great place to purchase a little something special for themselves, and nearly 40 per cent of duty free shoppers found something they weren’t expecting, we are sure that the new The Duty Free Store by Nuance will be your first stop before your next destination! It will be for us, anyway!
