True True Pizza
After months and months of talking about going to True True Pizza in the King East area, I can finally say that I came, I saw and I stuffed my face with delicious food!
Seeing photos of True True’s beautiful pink decor and delicious pizzas is what caught my eye on Instagram, and since then, I had been dying to go. On the weekend, I finally gave myself some time to pop in for a nice long lunch and took in the pink palace and indulged in the pizza and salads I heard so much about.
TRUE TRUE WAS BORN OUT OF TWO OPPOSING MINDSETS. ON ONE HAND, BEING TRUE TO THE VIRTUES OF THE CRAFT; ON THE OTHER, OUR BELIEF THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE EQUALLY TRUE TO THEMSELVES – THAT THE BEST PIZZAS ARE CREATED FROM A BOLD AND UNCONSTRAINED PURSUIT OF CREATIVITY, WITHOUT THE BOUNDARIES IMPOSED BY TRADITION.
True True is not your average pizza place – whatsoever. Formally known as One Pizza, the hot King East pizzeria spot received a fun makeover as the owners, Andrew Hay and Tim Gordon took the opportunity to produce a space that is truly original, focusing on exceptional quality, taste, and great service. The menu and offerings are also like no other, offering a combination of over 45 locally sourced toppings to create your very own personalized pizza with no extra charge if you want to go a little heavy with the toppings! It’s also ready in just over two minutes right in front of you.
What I especially love are the eight signature pizzas on the menu which you can also use as a starting point to add or take away to design your perfect pizza. I went with the Date Night pizza and just simply added arugula and tomato to the pizza! Also available are four signature salads, which are large and can really fill you up with delicious ingredients like chickpeas, quinoa, nuts, and roasted veggies to name a few.
Whether you are in the mood for pizza or salads, both are equally delicious at True True Pizza and the restaurant makes for the best ambiance for a lunch break or hanging out with friends.
So, umm who wants to go again with me? I’m craving the Sidecar salad!
