Wild Flower Picking
About a week ago I was on the road to visit the Terre Bleu Lavender Fields, but with the Toronto traffic making me want to pull my hair out, my parents and I decided to visit the houseboat in Bradford for the day! While I couldn’t help but feel disappointed in the lack of lavender that day, I quickly went wild flower picking along the water leading into Lake Erie.
It was a reminder for me to slow down.
On that day, I was just getting over a flu that happened because I was overworking myself. It meant staying up late, not eating regularly and generally feeling drained, so naturally, I got sick which was a reminder to take time to enjoy the small things like beautiful wild flowers, the sound of just birds and not my laptop keys and a day spent with my parents – two of my best friends!
Summer is almost over friends, I know, but take this time to stop and smell the roses so to speak!
