Edie Sedgwick might be painted by history as a hot mess, but its no wonder the socialite was a muse to leader of pop art Andy Warhol. Pink Tartan’s Spring/Summer 2014 Collection was also inspired by the actress-model and debuted at Toronto’s World Master Card Fashion Week on October 21st.
Eyebrows were drawn in dark, and mascara was coated on. The 60s influence was translated in graphic prints of floral, checkered, and herringbone. Pleated skirts, crisp white blouses and perfectly tailored jackets provided a throw-back vibe. The line’s image of simple elegance did not waver off beat. Knee-length was the hem length of choice of the collection. An element of toughness was introduced to feminine silhouettes with leather.
