Oh what fun it is to ride down the runway with Erin Wasson and Bullseye, the loveable Target mascot.
One minute, it was October 24th and the next it was the Holiday season! Once I sat down in the audience I was filled with the Christmas spirit. Fun holiday music pumped throughout the speakers as very charming male models pushed around shopping carts filled with gifts for the seated crowds!
This was definitely #MyKindOfHoliday and the show offered something stylish for every member of the family.
To our delight the model to open the show was the one and only Erin Wasson! Right then and there I just knew: this was going to be a great show! Erin marched out to a holiday remix featuring the backbeat of Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls)” and the crowd couldn’t help but tap their feet and get pumped up as the next looks walked the runway.
What can ladies expect for the holidays? Mixed material caps are an absolute must, worn with chambray tops and printed pants, the cap adds a playful element to any look. Tons of sparkle and colour are also must haves for winter. This holiday season don’t be afraid of bold colours; Target is offering fabulous looks like pencil skirts and winter coats as well as toques and scarves in turquoise, green, electric blue, and fuchsia.
Accessories are apparently a man’s best friends, newsboy caps, toques, fingerless gloves, and infinity scarves helped complete the look on each guy who walked the runway. Pants in charcoal and red were favourites paired with plenty of plaid shirts and cardigans.
I have to say, I wish I was a kid again because I have serious closet envy of the stylish youngsters that walked the show. Key looks for young girls include a gold sequin skirt, grey wool tights, textured blazers, and loads of arm candy, as well as fun bejeweled cross-body bags and printed backpacks. For the young boys, they can keep it cool in jeans and high top sneakers and finish the look with a leather jacket and some fun giant headphones to rock out on their way to and from class.
I don’t know about you but I’m all for cheerful spirit and after this show I absolutely cannot wait for the holidays!
